During the pandemic, I was receiving many different videos, write-ups, blogs and so on about an insidious plan behind the pandemic. One of the key words was “globalists,” people who can’t wait to get Satan’s agenda going so that the anti-Christ can step in and try to wipe out Christ and Christians from the face of the earth.
For all intensive purposes, given the way the medical heads and governments have handled vaccine mandates practically forcing it on the entire population or else, makes me pause and see something diabolical going on—stripping people of rights with lockdowns, making us afraid of each other, wearing masks, taking jobs away, and so on. And the way they stirred up mass hysteria and fear over this virus that has a 99% rate of recovery, I have wondered many times if there is more going on than meets the eye. The facts, once researched, are very different than what the news portrays. In fact, the way officials have handled the entire pandemic has created catastrophic social, spiritual, and economic disaster, etc. on a global level.
For me, reading the news, and reading some of the information about the globalists have left me depressed, sad, frustrated, and discouraged. Then I realize that I can’t soak up this kind of information, and neglect the very life-giving, positive, and faith-filled Scriptures provided in the Word of God, the Bible. I don’t need to know such devastating information, do I? In fact, I thought we as Christians, the Bride of Christ, were to look up for the return of our groom, Jesus Christ, and look forward to the rapture with eager anticipation.
God will tell us what we need to know. Some might think this is ignorance and naivety, but it isn’t. It is simply bringing ALL glory to God and not looking for something satanic when clearly God is in control. I think the next two verses really capture it well:
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. 1 Peter 3:10-11
As well, the opening verses from Romans 16 really speak to me about where my thoughts need to be focused. I need to focus on what is good, not what is evil. I like to think that instead of focusing on the future, I need to focus on the here and now, on the moments in today. For God is not through with using us here just yet. We still have work to do, and so we need to focus on doing good. Most importantly, we need to listen up to see what the Holy Spirit is saying to us.
